Metal nutter ring random tower packing, designed by Dale Nutter in 1984, of efficiency enhanced by lateral liquid spreading and surface film renewal. Geometry provides maximum randomness with minimum nesting and maximum mechanical strength and superior surface utilization allows for shorter packed beds.The packing used in distillation, absorption and other operations.
